Assisting
clients to "Select and Manage" a major network contractor.
Selecting
& Managing a new network supplier, can add a significant workload
to what may be already an overstretched IT department.
By
tasking me with running this exercise, my client was able to :-
Remain
in overall control of the Project. - I essentially worked as
the IT Managers PA.
Keep
on top of everything else. - I did all the project detailed
work.
Select
the best supplier for them.
- A well written SOR (Statement of Requirement),
and competative bid process ensured this.
Involve
key staff members. - Because they hadn't "lost anyone"
to the project, they had the time to be involved regularly throughout.
Deliver
a successful project. - Because I couldn't be distracted by
"this weeks issue", I kept continous control of the
project through to completion, better that they would have themselves.
Know
when the project was over. - On time, and on budget, without
project creep, because when the job was done they didn't need
my help any more.
By
using an external consultant, who integrated well into their existing
IT team, my client managed a successful project, which every member
of staff felt involved in and an owner of.
Whatever
your next project may be, I can help you run it better.
